Women arrested for filming an elderly disabled woman on Snapchat

Three young employees at a senior living home have been charged after they captured an elderly woman on Snapchat after she suffered a stroke while using profanities and smoking vape pens, authorities said.

Jorden Lanah Bruce, 21, Mya Janai Moss, 21, and Lizeth Jocelyn Cervantez Ramirez, 19, were all charged with exploiting an elderly and disabled person.

The three women, who all worked at the Bentley Senior Living Facility in Jefferson, Georgia, were arrested on June 22.

A Jefferson Police Department detective said they posted a video on Snapchat titled ‘The End’ inside a 76-year-old patient’s room after she had a stroke, AJC.com reports.

They filmed the clip on June 13 while they were waiting for a hospice nurse to arrive.

Police said they were supposed to be closely monitoring the patient while they waited, but were ignoring her.

‘One of them was smoking a vape pen,’ the detective told the website.

‘They were using profanities and (making obscene hand gestures) at the camera.’

He added: ‘It was going to be an extensive time before the hospice nurse could be there, so these three employees were supposed to closely monitor the patient.’

Another employee at the facility saw the video on the social network and reported them.
