TOM Walker is treating Boardmasters like a big reunion with his old schoolmates.
Since blowing up and the huge success of Leave A Light On, Tom hasn’t had any free time for socialising, so he plans on going big this weekend.
The singer/songwriter revealed he’s been on his best behaviour since finding fame – but Cornwall is all about cutting loose for him.
Tom told me: “I’m super super excited. All my mates I grew up with, we all lived next door to each other, they’re all coming, and I’ve not seen them for ages so I can’t wait!
“I’m going up the Sunday morning as I know if we go the night before I’d be really tempted to have too many beers. But as soon as I’m off stage we’re gonna have a catch up and be on the beers big time.”
Tom says he would have made a bender of the entire weekend a few years ago, laughing: “The first year I did festivals, I did it all on my own in my little car, no tour manager, all my equipment in my boot.
“And that was like one festival each week, for eight weeks, and I’d just go f***ing mental the whole weekend.”
However, now he’s booked for the mainstage and releasing his debut LP, Tom is taking it more seriously and says it will be emotional on Sunday.
He said: “I played a tiny stage at Boardmasters a couple of years ago so to be up there on the mainstage two years later is pretty f***ing incredible.
“On stage it definitely hits me at the end of some of the gigs, when I’m about to walk off.
“When I do the final big hurrah I think: “F***ing hell I was playing to nobody a couple of years ago, nobody gave a f*** and here we are’.”
Tom’s debut album What A Time To Be Alive is out October 12.
Paloma Faith has praised the NHS for “not giving a toss” that she was a celebrity during the birth of her child.
The singer said: “I gave birth on the NHS. I believe in it and I believe everybody deserves equal treatment.
“I wanted to have my child at University College Hospital, which is where I was born, partly to prove a point, which is that I deserve the same as everybody else.”
She also admitted that she would never live-tweet about giving birth.
She says: “I’m a very open person and a self-professed oversharer, but I would only ever share something I didn’t find inhibiting.”
Paloma’s revelation comes after a frank interview which you can read in August’s edition of Vera Magazine for Virgin Atlantic.
It includes a futuristic photoshoot capturing the singer’s signature quirky style.

Nic Cester has opened up about the reason Jet split for five years in 2012.
The group’s frontman blamed their separation on the booze and drugs.
Nic said: “I think the problems in Jet were the combination of a few things.
“The relationships between us were all awful, we were all tired, and we were drinking too much and taking a lot of drugs and making bad choices. We went through all the cliches. We very much became a cliche of ourselves in the end.
“I guess that’s why for me the answer was to completely walk away and rebuild from the ground up.”
The band are on their 15th anniversary tour and Nic says things feel fresh and they can focus on the happier memories.
The rocker said: “This tour has allowed us to heal a lot of old wounds and come back together as friends.”
