Lucky Man Concerts and Steve Levine Entertainment are really bringing out the stars for the fifth annual Pot of Gold Music Festival, with Post Malone, Lil Wayne and Cardi B topping the bill as it moves to its new home at Phoenix’s Steele Indian School Park on March 15-17.
Other acts include Jhene Aiko, Young Thug, Lil Pump, Tinashe, Young M.A, Lil Baby, Ski Mask The Slump God, Gunna, Preme, Doja Cat, Tyla Yaweh, Young Dolph, Asian Doll, SAINT JHN and more to be announced.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at PotOfGoldAZ.com.
Attracting more than 20,000 attendees annually, the three-day festival is in its fifth year and this time there’s a midway with carnival rides and games.
Ride tickets and wristbands will be available for purchase inside the festival.
Other additions to the festival include a new Pot Of Gold smartphone app, RFID wristbands, presale front-of-line access tickets, and a large selection of food and commercial vendors.
Cardi B is currently No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 with her featured vocal on Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You,” and that’s just one of five appearances in the Billboard Top 40 this week. Her hits include the multi-platinum smashes “Bodak Yellow,” “MotorSport,” “Bartier Cardi” and “I Like It.”
She’s joined on Saturday by Lil Wayne, who topped the album charts again with this year’s much-anticipated “Tha Carter V.”
Post Malone headlines Sunday. This is the only North American tour date he’s announced so far in 2019. Malone rose to stardom in 2018 when he broke the Beatles’ record for most simultaneous Top 20 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 with nine songs.
In a press release, Pot of Gold founder Tom LaPenna said, “We are excited to debut Pot Of Gold at a brand new location this year. This new location will allow us to provide visitors with an entirely revamped festival experience complete with amusement rides, carnival games, art installations, vendor marketplace, local and regional cuisine and unforgettable entertainment.”
Gates will open at 3 p.m. on March 15, and at 12 p.m. on March 16 and 17. Pot of Gold is an all ages event. VIP tickets will be available for guests ages 18 or older and VIP Gold tickets, bar areas, and alcohol sales will be open to guests who are 21 years of age or older.
