RIYADH, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) — Saudi-led coalition involved in a war in Yemen on Wednesday announced that they have destroyed a rocket launcher and drone in Sanaa, Al Arabiya TV reported.
The incident took place when UN-brokered cease-fire was held in the Red Sea port city of Hodeidah. The coalition said that the drone was preparing to carry out an attack.
The coalition accused Houthi militias of using Sanaa airport as a military base, which is in blatant violation of international law. The coalition also accused the militias of committing 21 violations since Monday night to the cease-fire agreement in Hodeidah.
The coalition urged the UN to quickly deploy officers to oversee the withdrawal of the opposing forces from the city and its outskirts.
