RANGERS go away to Villarreal in the Europa League tomorrow night – but who will start for the Gers?
“Steven Gerrard’s Rangers returned to winning ways by putting four past a 10-man Dundee side on Saturday”
Rangers bounced back from Old Firm disappointment in style at Ibrox on Saturday.
After suffering a 1-0 defeat against Celtic prior to the international break, Steven Gerrard’s men returned to winning ways by putting four past a 10-man Dundee side.
They are now just two points behind the Hoops, and seven below Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts.
Gerrard will hope his side can keep momentum going in their Europa League trip to Villarreal tomorrow.
It will be a tough ask for them up against the La Liga outfit, who are likely to start former Arsenal star Santi Cazorla in midfield.
The Gers also have a host of injuries and suspensions heading into the match.
Gareth McAuley and Ryan Jack are both out, while Graham Dorrans is a doubt to feature.
They will also be without Alfredo Morelos and Jon Flanagan, who are both suspended for the game.
Jordan Rossiter and Graham Dorrans are now back in full training, yet it is the latter who is most likely to make the squad for the trip to Estadio De La Ceramica.
Gerrard should stick with Allan McGregor in between the sticks; with James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Nikola Katic and Borna Barisic sitting in front.
In midfield, Scott Arfield is expected to start alongside Lassana Coulibaly and Ovie Ejaria.
Eros Grezda is likely to start on the right flank, Ryan Kent the left and Kyle Lafferty through the centre in a three-man attack.
