RANGERS striker Alfredo Morelos is better than Moussa Dembele was when he played for Celtic.
That’s the view of former Scotland international James McFadden.
Morelos has bagged 28 times for Steven Gerrard’s side this season and has been linked with a move to Leicester to link up with recently departed Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers.
The Colombian has established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in the Scottish Premiership, with suggestions that it will take a bid of £20m to prise him away from Ibrox.
Celtic have been blessed with a number of talented forwards in recent seasons, including Dembele.
“He’s not playing with the quality of players Dembele played with at Celtic.”

The Frenchman scored 51 times for the Bhoys in two seasons before joining Lyon last summer and was considered by some fans to be one of the best forwards in the club’s history.
But McFadden inists Morelos is better because he has been playing with less talented team-mates.
“They are different players,” he told SPFL Matters.
“Dembele when he came up from Fulham, he hit the ground running, he was part of the invincible side, he won trophies.
“But he played in a very good side.
“Morelos, at the minute, certainly last season, didn’t play in a very good side yet he still scored goals.
“He carried Rangers.
“This season, they are much improved, but he is still scoring goals.
“Dembele was part of a very strong side.
“He wasn’t the only one scoring goals.
“Rangers have Morelos and the second top goalscorer is Tavernier on penalties.
“Morelos is doing a lot of it on his own.
“But he’s not playing with the quality of players Dembele played with at Celtic.”
