Paddy McGuinness vows to interrupt Holly Willoughby TV document: ‘I am attempting to get one up’

PADDY McGUINNESS is battling to become a bigger television star than Holly Willoughby.

The pals are in a race to see who can be on the box the most.

Paddy has bagged top jobs cohosting BBC Two’s Top Gear and becoming a team captain on ITV2’s Celebrity Juice.

These roles are in addition to his hit ITV dating show Take Me Out and his ITV comedy movie skit series with Keith Lemon called The Keith And Paddy Picture Show.

Paddy said: “I’m trying to get one up on Holly. I’m trying to break her record for one person doing the most shows on telly.

“We’re already competing – so when she got the I’m A Celebrity gig last year I was devastated. I have got quite a few to go to catch up with her.”

Holly is a regular face on ITV’s This Morning and has also been co-hosting the channel’s Dancing On Ice on a Sunday night for the past three months.

She is also a team captain on Celebrity Juice.

A source said: “Paddy and Holly are friends. It’s a friendly battle.”

Paddy also revealed that, although he has landed some fantastic jobs, his family are rarely impressed.

He said: “We never really talk about it. I get the odd message from my auntie when she’s seen me on something, but no one really cares to be honest.

“It’s a bit odd. I think I got just one text message when I got the Top Gear job and that was it.”
