MANCHESTER UNITED forward Alexis Sanchez is set to start against Tottenham in tonight’s Premier League clash (8pm).
Sanchez missed the 3-2 defeat at Brighton and Hove Albion due to a minor injury but has been passed fit for action.
The 29-year-old was spotted arriving at the Lowry Hotel earlier this afternoon along with the rest of the match-day squad.
A source told The Sun: “Sanchez came through the Sunday training session with no problems.
“It was shocking conditions too at Carrington but he looked good and lively and was in the team shape on the left.
“He had another check over this morning but everything looks fine and he is all set to return to the team.”
Nemanja Matic and Antonio Valencia, who are yet to feature this term, were also seen checking in at the Lowry Hotel.
Jose Mourinho’s future at Manchester United has been called into question following the loss at Brighton.
The Portuguese’s relationship with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has reached boiling point after a dire summer transfer window.
He also fell out with Anthony Martial in pre-season over the forward’s failure to return to the team’s tour of the US following the birth of his second child.
Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has been linked with Mourinho’s job.
A failure to beat top-four rivals Tottenham would crank up the pressure on Mourinho, who still has two seasons left on his contract.
United have an impressive record against top-six rivals under the Portuguese, but he does not care for statistics.
“If we win every match against the non top-six teams and don’t win against the top six, that would also be a frustration,” he said.
“We want to win all the time. We want to play well all the time. We don’t want to make mistakes. That is what you always want.
“I want a winning style. Don’t make defensive mistakes. Be dominant. Create chances, score goals and go home with the three points.”
Mourinho is among the bookies’ favourites to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post.
