LIVERPOOL remain interested in signing Lyon star Nabil Fekir – and he’s keen on the move too.
Fekir looked set for a move to Anfield in the summer with a transfer fee and personal terms both agreed.
However the deal collapsed at the 11th hour after Liverpool pull the plug on the deal for the France World Cup star.
Jurgen Klopp ended up signing Xherdan Shaqiri from relegated Stoke instead in a bargain £13m transfer.
But it’s now claimed Lyon star Fekir could yet be heading to Anfield as well.
The Gambling Times cite sources close to the player who claim he’s still up for a move to Merseyside.
However it’s claimed Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid are also now in the running for his signature.
Fekir is under contract with Lyon until 2020, meaning the French club could decide to cash in soon to ensure a maximum return on the midfield ace.
When asked about the botched transfer earlier this year, he said: “I heard a lot of things.
“Liverpool remain interest in Lyon star Nabil Fekir”
“The real reason? Only Liverpool know.
“These things happen, it’s just how it is. We have to move on, it’s well in the past now.
“I have totally come to terms with the failed transfer to Liverpool.”
Liverpool return to Premier League action on Saturday away at Huddersfield.
Manager Jurgen Klopp will be expecting maximum points when he faces off with close friend David Wagner as the Reds travel to the John Smith’s Stadium.
Huddersfield are 18th in the table, have yet to win this campaign and have managed to score only four goals.
Liverpool go into the weekend joint-top of the Premier League but could find themselves three points off the pace going into their game.
The Reds are in action at 5.30pm, but rivals Chelsea and Manchester City play first.
The Blues host Manchester United at 12.30pm while City entertan Burnley in a 3pm kick-off.
