Leeds 2-4 Derby: Frank Lampard’s side reach play-off final after six-goal thriller

DERBY will face Aston Villa in the Championship play-off final after beating Leeds at Elland Road.

Leeds United took a one-goal lead into tonight’s clash but were soon under the cosh by Frank Lampard’s side.

Derby went a goal down after Stuart Dallas found the net.

But Jack Marriott made the most of a Kiko Casilla error to score with his first-touch after coming off the bench before half-time.

One minute after the restart, Mason Mount scored for the Rams to put them ahead.

Harry Wilson then scored a penalty to make it 3-1, leaving Leeds panicking.

Dallas netted a second soon after to level the tie on aggregate.

But after Gaetano Berardi was sent off for picking up two yellows, Marriott netted his second to put Derby 4-2 ahead.

That was enough to see Lampard’s side through.

The Rams will take on Aston Villa in the final later this month.
