Kate Middleton First Noticed Prince William When They Have been 9 Years Outdated

Prince William and Kate Middleton first met when they were just children and not when they studied at the university.

In the book “Kate: The Future Queen,” author Katie Nicholl revealed that the Duchess of Cambridge first caught a glimpse of the Duke of Cambridge during her rugby matches as a young girl.

“Although Kate wasn’t especially interested in boys, the arrival of one particular young man had caught her attention. Nearby Ludgrove Prep school would often play matches against St. Andrew’s Prep, and there was much excitement when Prince William, a left back on Ludgrove’s Colts team, came to St. Andrew’s to play a hockey match when he was 9 years old,” she wrote.

Prince William and Middleton both loved sports as children, and they were also one of the best hockey and rugby players in their respective schools.

Middleton’s former teacher, Denise Allford, recalled what it was like to see Prince William in school for his matches. She said that the male students were curious as to why so many cars stopped on the way in because it was unusual.

“It was William’s protection officers and bodyguards, and it caused quite a stir. It went around school like wildfire,” she said.

Naturally, everyone wanted to catch a glimpse of Prince William and Middleton was no exception. According to Nicholl, at the age of 9, the mom of three was able to see Prince William for the first time, but this was definitely not the last time.

The two royals went to the same school together and also lived in the same apartment. Prince William and Middleton dated each other for years before splitting for a couple of months. They got back together shortly after and they announced their engagement to the world in 2010.

In 2011, the couple tied the knot. Two years later, they welcomed their first child Prince George. In 2015, the couple welcomed Princess Charlotte followed by Prince Louis in 2018.
