RABAT, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) — The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) on Friday condemned the terrorist attack on a minibus carrying Copts in Upper Egypt’s province of Minya earlier in the day.

Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, Director-General of ISESCO, described the act as a “heinous terrorist attack,” and called on the international community to support efforts made by the Egyptian government to eliminate terrorist groups and maintain security and peace in the country.

At least seven Copts were killed and 12 others wounded in the armed attack on the passenger bus near St. Samuel Monastery in Minya, Egypt’s state media reported.
