Despite making no announcements or even appearing to sport a bump during any of her official engagements, rumors are continuing to fly that state Kate Middleton could be having a fourth baby with Prince William.
With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle expected to welcome their first child together in just weeks, many royal fans are wondering if the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will follow suit and also welcome a new baby in 2019. Though Middleton has not said or done anything which would suggest that she is, in fact, already pregnant with her fourth child, there have been some hints and clues that have emerged suggesting the possibility of a pregnancy is still in her mind though.
The biggest hint that the Duchess of Cambridge might be experiencing a case of baby fever came during a visit to Northern Ireland with Prince William earlier this month. While greeting well-wishers, she came across a man named Alan Barr and his five-month-old son, James, who Middleton swooned over and said made her “feel broody.”
When Barr asked her if she was going to have a fourth baby, Middleton went on to laugh off his question and claim that Prince William would probably be “a little worried” if she was.
It also came after comments she made during a visit to Leicester University last year where she expressed excitement over Harry and Meghan’s baby as well.
Booking agents Ladbrokes has seen betting odds slash often over the possibility of Middleton having a fourth child overall, with the latest reported numbers at 5/2 that she would announce a pregnancy at some point in 2019. Odds were also at 10/1 for her to give birth before the year came to an end.
Alex Apati of the agency previously told Express UK that it was unsurprising that Middleton’s name was linked to a possible 2019 pregnancy, hence the flurry of betting odds.
“Baby fever may well hit the Royal Family this year with the Duchess of Cambridge the latest name linked with a 2019 pregnancy,” he said.
However, while a pregnancy announcement before the year comes to an end is still very much in the cards, body language expert Judi James revealed in February that that it was unlikely the Duchess of Cambridge is already pregnant because she’s been out in public so much, since she usually retreats from the spotlight due to suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum when she is expecting a child.
“Kate’s biggest pregnancy clues have always come when she absents herself from public outings owing to her bouts of sickness,” she said at the time.
