PARIS, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) — French shares edged up on Friday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 up 0.32 percent, or 16.35 points, to close at 5,102.13 points.
A total of 23 of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.
French luxury goods holding company Kering advanced 5.51 percent, the top gainers of the blue chips. French automotive supplier Valeo rose 4.24 percent, followed by LVMH, a French multinational luxury group, which gained 3.43 percent.
French life service company Sodexo went down by 4.08 percent, the top loser of the blue chips. Sanofi, a French multinational pharmaceutical company, lost 1.59 percent. French multinational mirror manufacturer Compagnie de Saint-Gobain edged down 1.35 percent. Enditem
