SKULL TROOPER UPDATE 2 –

And here’s ANOTHER important Skull Trooper update.

So according to trusted Fortnite Twitter leaker @Siloleaks the customisation for the Skull Trooper cosmetic isn’t entirely customisable.

That’s because the purple version of the Skull Trooper is only available to those players who had previously purchased the original Skull Trooper skin, before it returned to the item shop today.

So, if you didn’t already own Skull Trooper when it was released in Season 1, you CAN’T get the purple shaded version of the skin.

Which is something, we guess, for those long-time players who feel upset at the fact their rarest skins are not quite commonplace.

A gripe a lot of players also had with the Red Knight Fortnite Skin a few months back when it also returned to the item shop.

Stay tuned for more details.

SKULL TROOPER UPDATE 1 –

Some more details have emerged about that Skull Squad Set.

For starters, we now know how much everything costs and it will set you back roughly 5,100 V-Bucks.

Here are the set items and prices:

– Skull Sickle Pickaxe (Epic) – 1,200 V-Bucks
– Crypt Cruiser Glider (Epic) – 1,200 V-Bucks
– Skull Trooper Skin (Epic) – 1,500 V-Bucks
– Skull Ranger Skin (Rare) – 1,200 V-Bucks

It also looks like you can customise the skins quite heavily. Which you can see, just below:

Original Story – Fortnite’s in-game notifications were updated during games server downtime and it nows features a new card notifying players that the ‘Skull Squad’ gear is now available in the item shop.

Here’s the in-game description:

“Skull Squad Gear available now! Complete challenges to earn the Ghost Portal Back Bling”.

It looks like, for now, players will be able to purchase the Skull Trooper and new Skull Ranger skins in the shop, along with their respective pickaxe and glider.

In addition, it seems as though the previously leaked Ghost Portal back bling – from Season 5 – will be unlockable through certain new challenges added to the game.

The notorious Fortnite leaker, FNBRLeaks, has claimed that the original Skull Trooper is still showing up as in the Item Shop.

So, it’s possible that these new photos, which show off a slightly different colour tint to the skin, may be slightly different styles to the skin which you can unlock with challenges.

Here are the set items.

– Skull Sickle (Pickaxe)
– Crypt Cruiser (Glider)
– Skull Trooper (Skin)
– Skull Ranger (Skin)

Stay tuned for more info the second we get it.
