Emmerdale’s Charity Dingle for shock maternity bombshell in epic plot twist?

EMMERDALE’S Charity Dingle could be in for a hell of a surprise.

Emmerdale legend Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) has made it clear that she is not a big fan of Kim Tate (Claire King), who recently returned to the Dales.

The Emmerdale cast member has threatened Kim after she mocked Debbie for being upset that Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) had left her at the altar.

But as the pair locked horns at Home Farm, fans took to social media to comment on how similar the pair were.

One even wondered if Kim could actually be Charity’s mum, as they posted: “I’m even more convinced that Charity’s presumed dead mum will turn out to be Kim Tate, who ran away from Obediah, faked a suicide, changed her name and got a job as a receptionist with Frank Tate.”

Another replied: “Stranger things have happened.”

A third chipped in: “There has to be a reason, just before Kim returned, that Charity was told her mum committed suicide but her body was never found. It might not be Kim, but I guarantee we’ll have Charity’s mum return. In terms of Kim, it fits her timeline.”

A fourth wrote: “I thought of it when Kim was returning, but as a joke, however, the scenes with Charity and Kim, they’re so alike, look alike and what better way to create drama than have them mother and daughter?”

A fifth chipped in: “Good theory, it seems possible.”

Could Kim actually be Charity’s mother?

In scenes last month, Charity confronted her father Obadiah on the way he treated her when she was a child.

She also recalled when they used to go to the beach together everyday, but he later admitted that he was searching for Kathleen’s body as she had taken her own life.

But as Charity digested the news, fans predicted that Kathleen wouldn’t really be dead.

Could she be heading back to the Dales?

Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
