The Belgian has enjoyed six successful years at Stamford Bridge since joining from Lille in 2012.

He has bagged 97 goals in 310 appearances for the Blues, picking up two Premier League titles in the process.

However, Hazard sparked fears he would be leaving the club last summer by saying during the 2018 World Cup: “It might be time to discover something different.”

The 27-year-old remained in west London, but he is now being tipped for an exit once again after admitting his best chance of winning the Ballon d’Or could be to move to Spain – where the last 10 winners of the award have been based.

And Real Madrid are leading contenders with the bookies to sign him next summer.

Betfair have the European champions as 4/1 favourites to sign Hazard, who recently said: “Real Madrid are the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie today. It is my dream since I was a kid. I was dreaming about this club.”

The player has denied any possibility of leaving Chelsea in the January transfer window.

It is difficult to envisage him joining any other side than Los Blancos, yet other teams in the running include PSG (12/1), Barcelona (16/1) and Manchester City (16/1).

Hazard has started off the season in his most prolific form yet for the Blues, netting eight goals in 10 games.

Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has set him the target of reaching 40 goals this term.

But the winger feels he can still improve despite the early purple patch.

“You can always improve in football. More goals, more assists.

“The team is helping me a lot, but I can improve, for sure.”
