Black Ferns too strong for USA

The Black Ferns have scored an emphatic 67-6 win over the USA in their rugby test in Chicago.

The Ferns scored 11 tries with lock Eloise Blackwell and winger Renne Wickliffe scoring two each.

The New Zealanders led 26-6 at half time.

The other tries were scored by Aldora Itunu, Chelsea Alley, Fiao’o Faamausili, Selica Winiata, Kendra Cocksedge, Stacey Waaka and Ayesha Leti-I’iga.

Captain Fiao’o Faamausili was delighted that they didn’t lose their intensity when the replacemenst started coming onto the field.

“We’re all one, even though we’ve got our warriors on the bench we know that they need to keep lifting the game.”

“The starting players need to build the pressure and the warriors will finish it off and I think it’s our team culture that keeps building it because we’re all one team.”

The USA kicked two penalties.

The Black Ferns now head to France for 2 Tests.
