ASU coach Herm Edwards’ ‘Leave it on the grass’ phrase is catching on

Herm Edwards implored everyone to ‘Get on the train’ when he was hired to take over the Arizona State football program.

Sure, there was some requisite ridicule but the phrase stuck.

In fact, in August, just days before the season opener, ASU announced the name of Edwards’ new radio show: ‘All Aboard’.

Now, there’s a new Herm-ism: ‘Leave it on the grass.’

An ESPN camera was in the right place at the right time on Saturday at Sun Devil Stadium.

Edwards uttered the words just prior to his players storming the field for the Michigan State game.

It’s only a matter of time before T-shirts and signs get made.
