As the festive season approaches, the Yorkshire based tour operator has reported an increase in demand in this area of their business and is looking forward to welcoming many more new and existing clients back in the coming year. Customers can choose from denominations of £5, £10, £25, £50 and £100 to create a personalised gift this Christmas to suit any budget and vouchers are redeemable across the entire product range.

Superbreak, the York based tour operator, has announced the appointment of Darren Neylon as Marketing, E-Commerce & Commercial Director. The position is a new one and oversees the key direct marketing and e-commerce teams with the clear objectives of growing the company's direct revenues through an enhanced experience for customers.

The position is the first senior commercial appointment by Eamonn Ferrin who joined the company as Managing Director in January 2010. He commented: "Since becoming Managing Director I have been giving a lot of thought to the question of how we can become an even better company and how we create a faster moving, more innovative and above all, a more customer-focused company. Darren's appointment is key to meeting this challenge."

Darren has worked for over 10 years in a number of senior e-commerce and commercial roles in the mobile and retail sectors. Superbreak re-launches Groups and Specialist Sales Department

Superbreak has re-launched its Groups Department and created a new Groups and Specialist Sales team. The eight-strong team will now handle a diverse range of business from school and college groups through to the more traditional group business of hen and stag weekends. The department has been set up to handle all bookings 10+ adults or for 5 or more rooms and will be on hand 6 days a week by phone.

The York based tour operator has made the move due to seeing continued real growth in its group travel bookings, with a year on year increase of 14%. This business is primarily split between stag and hen weekends, school groups, incentive groups and the growing market of residential conferences with the majority of groups choosing UK locations as their destinations.

Stag and hen weekends continue to be a boom area, with Superbreak booking 500 hen and stag dos in 2009 alone. The Groups and Specialist Sales team will be responsible for tailoring the bookings individually with a range of activities from salsa dancing to spa breaks and theatre workshops to paintballing. The tour operator also arranges hotel bookings for friends and family attending weddings and airport stopovers for those marrying on foreign shores.

Superbreak sees airport hotel sales take off this summer

Superbreak, the short break specialist has reported a surge in airport hotel sales so far this summer, through both the trade and direct arms of the business.

The tour operator has seen growth of 17% in bed night sales across the 29 UK airport hotels in its portfolio. As budget minded customers take advantage of the great deals available, its parking and hotel packages that have been particularly successful. A night in a hotel plus parking is often available for less than the price of a car park alone.

Superbreak has aimed to be flexible as possible for customers, offering great value parking packages that range from 4 days to 21 days, The Gatwick Worth and 15 days parking is available at just £37.50 per person. Superbreak reports substantial growth in seaside breaks

Superbreak, the weekend break specialist, has reported a substantial growth in sales for UK seaside destinations as the summer holiday season hits and the August Bank Holiday approaches.

Superbreak has secured a number of affordable 2, 3 and 4 night breaks in a range of popular seaside locations to appeal to the ever price-conscious traveller. Superbreak announce expansion of budget accommodation

Superbreak launches new site re-design

Superbreak, short breaks tour operator, has launched its new redesigned website featuring a vibrant new look and improved navigation.

The redesign aims to improve both the usability and the existing look and feel of the site with bigger, bolder lifestyle images and a stronger use of branding. In an increasingly competitive short breaks market there is also far more reassurance about the tour operator's pedigree, particularly its 25 year history.

In addition the information architecture of the site has been improved with a new navigation. The Superbreak development team has worked on a solution which utilises the same best practice procedures as several other leading online retail sites to make navigation as intuitive as possible for users. Using an expandable navigation gives the opportunity to provide greater visibility to the growing breadth of exciting new products the tour operator sells from mystery hotels to theatre breaks.

The whole process started with an in-depth usability study on the existing site followed by further tests on the new 'concept' design to ensure the company was heading in the right direction. Feedback was incredibly positive praising both the ease of use and effectiveness of the new design.

The booking process has also been focused on as Superbreak aims to "Pack more in" for its customers, which means not only offering the hotel, but also the reason to travel and the transport to get there. Superbreak gets ready to take part in 3 peak challenge

Superbreak, the UK based tour operator, has announced its staff's biggest challenge yet in aid of the Help for Heroes charity, as they attempt the infamous Three Peaks Challenge.

On the 17th July, 14 staff members from Superbreak will start their gruelling climb as they attempt the National Three Peaks Challenge. The gruelling climb will see the group start at the bottom of Snowdon in Wales, before taking a 4 hour drive to scale the heights of the Scafell Pike in the heart of Cumbria. Both climbs are expected to take the group over 5 hours and the journey doesn't end there. On the 18th July, Superbreak staff will take on the National Three Peaks' highest mountain - Ben Nevis.

Founded in October 2007, Help for Heroes offers practical support and help to wounded servicemen and women from Afghanistan and Iraq on their return to the UK. The charity's message is clear and simple: to help ordinary people doing extraordinary things to live with the consequences of being wounded in the service of their country. The money raised goes towards projects such as funding the new swimming pool and gym complex at DRMC Headley Court to help wounded servicemen and women rehabilitate.

The tour operator reports that colleagues from their York based office have joined forces to help raise money for the charity, including members of their Groups, Online Marketing, Web Content, Hotel Contracting and Reservations departments. Over the past year, Superbreak have also supported a number of other charities including The Family Holiday Association, Sport Relief, St.Leonards Hospice in York and Look Good Feel Better

Group co-ordinator of the Three Peaks Challenge at Superbreak, Michelle Bruce, said: "We wanted to do something not just for a good cause, but a great cause and what better way to do it than to choose a great charity like Help for Heroes and set ourselves one of the biggest physical challenges of our lives to date. The target is to raise £5000".
