Hotter Shoes has revealed its new smart comfort shoe collection, which features a range of comfortable and stylish footwear for weddings and other special occasions.

Designers at Hotter Comfort Concept shoes created this range of stylish, comfy women's special occasion shoes to help women keep a spring in their step at this season's 'must-attend' wedding.

Paul Sayers, the Range Director, said: "We've been creating comfortable footwear for over fifty years, and over one million happy customers enjoy the feeling of comfort that we carefully design into every pair of Hotter shoes.

"Whilst many of our styles are suitable for everyday wear, over the years we have seen a growing demand for comfortable shoes for special occasions. Our design team has worked hard to create a selection of smart styles that are perfect for the wedding season; with classic designs and on-trend colours. Each pair includes secret comfort features which will ensure that wedding guests will still be smiling when the bride and groom enjoy their last dance."

Darcy and Allegra, with smart low heels, flexible soles and room for toes to wiggle and flex, are available in a selection of colours, including pretty Hibiscus, neutral Nougat or versatile metallics.

For a little extra height, Quickstep, Valetta and the Surabaya sandal are the perfect finishing touch to any special occasion outfit, and are also available in extra wide fit .

Hotter Comfort Concept Shoes has launched a nationwide TV advertising campaign highlighting the thoughts of the people who wear their comfortable shoes and starring four customers.

The UK's biggest shoe manufacturer, which will make nearly 1.5 million pairs of shoes this year, commissioned a nationwide search to find passionate customers who simply love Hotter shoes to feature in the TV campaign.

"Our customers’ comments and thoughts about our shoes fuel and inspire our designers when they're creating stylish new designs for our ultra comfy shoes," said Range Director Paul Sayers. "Every day we receive feedback into our call centre, website, Facebook page and stores, telling us how important it is that these stylish women can find comfy shoes to keep them on their feet through their busy, active lives. We already have our first million happy customers and our design team is dedicated to creating the next."

Owner of 20 pairs of Hotter shoes, teacher Susan Robinson from Leeds, stars in the TV advert and loves the comfort features she feels every time she wears them. "I like to walk a lot and can walk for hours in my Hotter shoes. Wearing them means I can be on my feet all day and not worry about a thing."

Former Dior, Yves St Laurent and Jaeger model, Jenni Rhodes from London, who has worked in fashion, textiles and now makes jewellery, also took part in the day of filming. "I love the perfect fit of Hotter Shoes and there is always a choice in the catalogue for each season and every occasion that suits me perfectly."

Having discovered that one third of women walk to work in comfy shoes before changing into heels at their desk, Hotter's design team were keen to reveal the footwear brand's latest collection of comfy heels and smart flats which really are perfect for everyday work wear.

Hotter Shoes has released its latest collection of waterproof walking boots and shoes, which are the perfect solution to help people stick to their New Year's plans.

With the turn of the year comes the resolution to reinvent, readjust and rejuvenate, and top of the list for many is to get fit and healthy. However, with the British weather at its worst, waterproof walking boots are a definite 'must have' to help people keep their resolve. What's more, Hotter has introduced extra wide-fitting ladies walking boots for the first time this season, offering additional lightweight, functional styles.

"It's a full time job hiding secret comfort features in our footwear - making our shoes look stylish and pleasing to the eye but saving maximum impact for when you put them on your feet," commented Product Design Director Paul Sayers. "So when we decided we needed to take one step further and create a weatherproof comfort collection we decided that GORE-TEX Product Technology was the perfect fit."

Hotter’s weatherproof collection of comfortable walking shoes and walking boots are perfect for walking, strolling, wandering up hill and down dale keeping your feet comfortable in warm (or cool) dry comfort, protected from the elements and at the right temperature. Each pair incorporates the ultra-thin GORE-TEX membrane which is sandwiched between the outer shoe leather and the inner lining so it can’t be seen.

"That's the beauty of GORE-TEX Product technology and Hotter comfort - you don't have to think about it to enjoy it because your feet are cosseted in comfort," added Paul. "The porous structure of the GORE-TEX membrane holds the secret to its success. Each pore in the membrane is about 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water so water can't get in. But that's not the end of the story because these same pores just happen to be 700 times bigger than a water vapour molecule so sweat and moisture from your feet can easily escape, keeping your feet dry and at a comfortable temperature - simple and effective."

Every material in Hotter's weatherproof collection, including linings, uppers, insoles and stitching is quality tested and approved to guarantee its waterproof promise. Even laces undergo stringent wicking tests to make sure that they do not carry water into the footwear and special 'bellows' tongues are designed into every pair to prevent water seeping into the shoe through eyelets. Hotter Comfort Concept has launched a collection of women's boots that have every occasion covered this winter.

The UK's biggest shoe maker has been working hard to ensure that this winter ladies can enjoy every occasion in warm comfort, with casual boots for every day, smart boots for nights out and even waterproof boots for walking the dog.

Hotter Shoes uses real customers in latest TV ad campaign

Hotter Shoes decided to feature fans of its footwear in its latest TV advert after discovering exactly how much its customers love its line of comfortable shoes.

After interviewing a panel of customers to find out what makes women so happy when they wear Hotter Shoes footwear, the company was so delighted the customers' words that they became the inspiration for its new advert - with four of the customers recruited to take part in the final production.

Customers Marianne, Joan and Jenni own 46 pairs between them, having fallen in love with Hotter Shoes' comfortable shoes and worn them for a total of 26 years.

Marianne Welsh, from Southport, is a local councillor and wears her shoes for everyday duties and to council conferences and events. She described her first experience of wearing Hotter shoes: "When the shoes came it really was something I'll never forget, I put them on and instantly it felt like I was wearing a comfortable pair of slippers."

Joan Shawcross, from Manchester, has recommended Hotter shoes to all her family and friends. She added: "I love my Hotter shoes, I love every pair I've got."

Hotter Shoes reveals one in three women carry extra pair of comfy shoes in case of pain

Hotter Shoes has revealed that one in three UK women carry a comfortable pair of shoes with them to swap into because they are anticipating pain, according to a new survey.

Women who work, rest and play are going to great lengths to remain on their feet longer, despite 81 per cent admitting to experiencing pain by wearing killer heels on a night out. But don't think that it's just fashionistas suffering for their art as an incredible 46 per cent of women admitted to walking in comfortable shoes to meet friends then changing into killer heels at the last minute.

The study into the footwear choices of 2,000 women was conducted by comfortable shoe specialist, Hotter Shoes which is looking at what motivates women's shoe choices for occasions.

Lisa McCarten of Hotter Shoes said: "The research highlights the amount of pain women encounter in uncomfortable shoes but shows they are willing to do something about it – logically shoes that look good and feel fantastic are the answer."

She added: "We were astounded to find comfy shoes often being seen as 'handbag accessories' in women’s daily lives. Shoes shouldn’t have to be worn in - it should be a pleasure to put on a brand new pair of shoes not a pain. At Hotter we know that women want shoes that look good and make them feel fantastic whatever they are doing."

A staggering 84 per cent of women wear killer heels on a night out, despite only one in ten saying they can find comfortable high heels.

34 per cent of women anticipate experiencing pain from their shoes within an hour of leaving home and 60 per cent carry plasters because they expect a blister or cut. More than half have ended an evening bare foot as they couldn't walk further in their uncomfortable shoes.

Half of the women surveyed said they buy new shoes to take on holiday and almost 60 per cent of them have experienced pain whilst abroad.

One in three has had to buy another pair of shoes when out of the house due to the level of discomfort experienced in the shoes they were wearing. A third of women in the UK walk to work in a comfortable pair of flats before changing into heels at their desk.

Hotter Shoes has stepped up production of its iconic shoes as more women than ever turn to the comfort shoe brand for their footwear solutions. The company is forecasting that production at its Lancashire factory will increase to 1.7 million in 2011, smashing its 2010 total of 1.3 million which earned it the accolade of UK's biggest shoe maker.

Hotter Shoes' range and merchandising director Paul Sayer said: "Women have always wanted stylish shoes but now they're switching onto comfort which is great news for Hotter.

"Whether it's a lifestyle choice or the barrage of high heel horror stories and photos of celebrity bunions we've seen recently, more women than ever are falling in love with our UK made comfort shoes."

One in every three pairs of shoes made in the UK are now branded Hotter Comfort Concept, and incorporate the company's trademark features: light, shock absorbing soles; smooth seams; deep toe boxes and quality leather uppers. The figures were confirmed in a survey of all UK based shoe makers by the British Footwear Association.

Things are going well for the company that started out manufacturing and selling slippers and now "makes shoes as comfortable as slippers". Hotter Shoes will invest a further £500,000 in its factory this year to meet increased demand, positioning it as one of Europe's most technologically advanced shoe making plants.

Paul Sayer added: "We have survived and thrived because we share a passion for products and service with our customers."

"In economically challenging times we're discovering that discerning women are investing in long lasting, stylish and comfortable footwear rather than throwaway fashion that often languishes at the back of the wardrobe before making it to the recycling bin."

Richard Kottler, chief executive of the British Footwear Association commented: "Hotter's dedication and vision for the future has lead them to become one of the most successful, and innovative, British shoe manufacturers. It's rare these days for a British brand to manufacture such a high volume of quality footwear on site, the planned investment will see Hotter go from strength to strength - this is British manufacturing at its best."

Hotter is enjoying buoyant sales and is planning a dynamic retail expansion. In 2010 Hotter opened six dedicated stores in the south of England. It has opened nine stores across the UK this year including Newcastle, Glasgow, Sheffield, Salisbury, and Stratford and plans to have 25 stores in its portfolio by the end of 2011.

The company is also shipping its trademark style and comfort direct to the US market, with Hotter Shoes now shipped direct to the United States from the company's warehouse, and US customer calls serviced from the Skelmersdale call centre.

Hotter Comfort Concept Shoes has revealed that ties, killer heels and sharp suits are a thing of the past with the average office worker now opting for a dressed down look according to new research by the comfort shoe brand.

The image of smart office workers has been replaced by employees more likely to be wearing comfortable shoes, t shirts and casual trousers.

When planning what to wear for a day at the office Brits are much more likely to consider their own comfort than worrying about tottering in heels. Nearly half (49%) saying they wear shoes to work that are comfortable with an additional 32% saying they wear practical smart work heels in the office.

However, more than one third of women wear different shoes for their commute - indicating that their work shoes may not offer the ultimate comfort for a walk, bus or tube ride to the office.

Company dress codes now allow casual smart comfort in the office which is great news for bosses and staff alike as more than half of those surveyed said they worked better if they were comfortable with what they were wearing and nearly half said that a casual outfit made them more confident in the work place.

Paul Sayers, product design director from Hotter Shoes, who was behind the research into 3,000 working Brits said: "The evidence is clear to see, comfort has officially made a comeback. We make shoes that feel like slippers, so it's great to hear the majority of workers say they feel more confident and work more productively when they feel comfortable in what they wear.

Only one third of women wear a shirt to work. Two thirds say they dress more casually now than they did 10 years ago with nearly all saying things had changed from 20 years ago.

Summer was also the time when most staff took a more casual approach to their wardrobe.

Most admit that they only look smart and wear smart shoes at work twice a week although over 83% said they made more of an effort if they have a meeting.

Hotter Comfort Concept launches Royal Shoe

Hotter Comfort Concept, Britain's biggest shoe maker, has launched a limited edition Royal Shoe to celebrate the wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton in April 2011.

Only 1,400 pairs of the British made Royal Shoe will be made in Hotter Comfort Concept's Lancashire factory, each pair featuring 'Comfort Concept' extras, including soft leather uppers, smooth internal seams and shock absorbing soles.

Designers at Hotter Comfort Concept have given their best selling ladies loafer 'Etna' a patriotic makeover with a red, white and blue nautical colour palette, embossed Union Jack flag on the tongue and a spare pair of decorative Union Jack insoles. The shoes also come complete with a themed keepsake shoe box and are available in sizes 3 to 9 with some half sizes and some extra wide sizes also available.

Product designer at Hotter Comfort Concept, Paul Sayers said: "This is a great opportunity to celebrate a very British occasion; we wanted to create something completely unique for our customers and every pair of our Royal Shoes comes with a certificate of authentication.

Hotter Comfort Concept has launched its Spring 2011 collection featuring 17 new comfy women's shoes.

Designers at Hotter Comfort Concept, the UK's biggest shoemaker, have been working hard to inject style, colour and the ultimate comfort into every pair of women's shoes and sandals in its range. Comfy men's shoes have also been given a makeover with five new casual styles including a desert boot and sporty lace-ups.

Hotter Shoes survey reveals Christmas Day shoe preferences for women

Hotter Shoes has revealed that men who love their lady dressed to impress will have to go cold turkey this Christmas Day because most women are destined to spoil their cracking Christmas Day outfit by wearing it with comfy slippers, according to a new survey.

Peeling sprouts in heels is out for 2010 - with 88% of women refusing to get through December 25 without the comfort of slippers, furry boots or trainers according to the survey commissioned by comfy shoe specialist Hotter Shoes, looking at the festive footwear habits of 2,000 women.

Only 12% of women are prepared to wear uncomfortable heels on Christmas Day while 31% are opting for comfort by planning to wear slippers with four per cent wearing trainers. Mums and daughters alike will spend the big day in comfort, opting for furry boots (14%) whilst three per cent even admitted to wearing comical Christmas slippers if they knew they would guarantee blissful foot comfort.

Lisa McCarten of Hotter Shoes said: "We're delighted that comfort is clearly making a comeback for Christmas, but it's our mission to make sure that women realise that comfort can equal style when it comes to footwear choices; they certainly don’t have to resort to comical slippers."

Hotter Shoes has launched its biggest ever range of comfortable slippers, as part of its mission to deliver day-long comfort to today's active men and women.

Designers at UK based Hotter Comfort Concept are passionate about comfortable footwear and have created a collection of slippers with a number of comfort features including lightweight polyurethane soles, smooth internal seams and soft suede, sheepskin and leather uppers. Producing comfortable footwear for over 50 years, Hotter Comfort Concept is now the UK's biggest shoe manufacturer making 1.3 million pairs per year.

Hotter Shoes survey reveals women fall for killer heels

Hotter Shoes has found out in a new survey that fashion conscious women go to such extreme lengths to wear trendy shoes that one in ten women admits they have had to receive medical attention or even be hospitalised because of their shoes.

Nearly half of women have twisted their ankle because of their footwear and two thirds admit to wearing shoes that have caused them injury.

The top injuries caused by shoes were broken ankles, twisted knees, infected blisters, bunions and torn tendons.

The study into 3,000 womens footwear choices was conducted by Hotter Shoes, the UK's biggest shoe manufacturer, who is looking into what motivates women to buy certain shoes.

Lisa McCarten of Hotter Comfort Concept Shoes, said: "As a comfort shoe maker we were amazed to discover the pain and discomfort that women were prepared to endure for a pair of killer heels or an ill-fitting impulse sale bargain. Hotter Comfort Concept, the leading women's comfort shoe specialist, has launched a new EEE width fitting as part of its mission to bring comfort to the nation’s feet.

Following research amongst its online, mail order and high street store customers, the UK shoemaker discovered an increased demand for wider fitting shoes mirroring longstanding trends that show that UK women's feet are getting wider and longer. To cater for this growing market the company has introduced its best selling Dew and Leap styles in EEE fit for the first time and will be monitoring sales to decide whether to extend the range for Spring/Summer 2011.

"We've built our reputation designing and making comfortable women's shoes that look good and which help keep our customers active," commented Product Design Director Paul Sayers. "Over the years we have noticed that women’s feet are getting longer and wider, in fact our women’s extra fit (EE fit) shoes make up 45% of our collection and so moving to EEE fit is a logical step."

Hotter Comfort Concept, the North West-based shoe manufacturer, has recorded a sharp increase in sales in its high street stores fuelling its drive to increase its high street presence.

Hotter Comfort Concept shoes are being predominately purchased by women with busy, active lifestyles, who want comfortable shoes designed to stand the test of time. As spending on the high street continues to take a knock, Hotter's stores' sales figures from the start of 2010 demonstrate that consumers are still going crazy for its comfortable footwear. The shoe manufacturer has eight high street stores - and plans to have 25 open within the next two years.

Sales of Hotter shoes across its stores are up 93 percent from January to May 2009 when compared to January to May 2010.

Stewart Houlgrave, managing director at Hotter Comfort Concept, said: "We've noticed a trend with consumers buying more comfortable womens shoes as they start to think about their health and wellbeing.

"It's encouraging to see so many people address the health benefits they can get from a pair of shoes. People want shoes to look good, but they are thinking about the wider implications of what shoes are doing to their feet in the long term."

Hotter Shoes, women's comfort shoe specialist, has pledged to continue its drive to create the world's most comfortable shoes following the surprising results of a new YouGov survey.

"We were amazed to find out that only one third of women wearing a pair of shoes which extremely hurt their feet would kick them off immediately and walk in bare feet," commented product design director, Paul Sayers, who leads a team of comfort shoe designers who are determined to take the 'owww' out of new shoes. "What was most worrying though was a hardcore of 15% would struggle on for more than 30 minutes and 45% would manage for at least ten minutes in shoes that caused them 'extreme pain'"

It's not just long term damage that women are subjecting their feet to according to this research, 63% of women have had blisters on their feet due to wearing a favourite pair of shoes and 44% of women aged 18 and over have endured burning sensations on the balls of their feet.
