This means that customers can organise lists in the way that is best suited for them, with a different list for different occasions or for different departments within the Littlewoods Europe online store.

The new wish list service offers a greater level of convenience for the shopper as items can be saved and returned to at a later time without having to search for them again or remember what item was previously searched for.

A spokesperson for Littlewoods Europe said: "We are very pleased to introduce wish lists on Littlewoods Europe. When shopping, you can't always buy something as soon as you see it, whether it's time or financial restraints. The addition of wish lists to our site means customers can save items they like and come back to them at a later time. There is also the option for multiple lists so you can get your shopping organised in no time. We hope this added functionality on the site will mean a better shopping experience for the customer."

Wish lists can also be sorted by price and date added to wish list to make them easier to sort through at a later date. Items can also be amended and removed later if a customer changes their mind about which items they want appearing on a particular wish list.

About Littlewoods Europe:
Littlewoods Europe is part of Shop Direct Group who is the UK's largest online and home shopping retailer with sales of circa £1.7 billion. Building up layers is the best way of insulating the body, helping to trap air and heat between the layers to add to the insulation factor. Cotton is cool and comfortable against the skin, and has excellent moisture wicking properties with modern synthetic fibres improving on the natural fibre by offering more of a form fitting cut which moves with the body. However the latest trend sees a move away from high performance modern fabrics in favour of an entirely natural material, merino wool.

Wool has long been recognised for its insulation properties, with jumpers, scarves and hats ideal for keeping the body warm in cold weather; however the traditionally scratchy yarns are not ideally suited for comfortable under shirts and base layers. Whilst cashmere fibres are excellent for scarves and shawls the material is rarely used for undergarments despite its ultra soft fibres, with the price of the yarn off putting for many manufacturers. Merino wool on the other hand offers a much better alternative, with the short staples and lanolin rich wool being ultra soft against the skin, and the perfect choice for a range of outdoor performance sports clothing. The use of wool as an alternative to modern synthetics may seem strange, but its moisture wicking properties are far superior to modern synthetics with the fibres able to absorb and release moisture 10 times faster, and even continue to insulate when wet.

“UK outdoor enthusiasts have been swapping highly technical synthetics for highly technical natural fibres” claims Purekit.com MD Richard Gundle. Purekit.com is the UK’s leading online supplier of Icebreaker clothing, and has seen sales soar since its introduction to their performance clothing range. Richard goes on to say that “Our customers appreciate the exceptional properties of merino wool, and love the smooth and soft feel against the skin”. Icebreaker clothing covers the full range of undergarments and outer layers, and offers a body hugging design thanks to an active cut. Raglan sleeves and a gusseted design keep the fabric in close contact with the skin for great comfort, and the designs are lightweight, odour resistant and incredibly comfortable to wear. In contrast to traditional woollen clothing, Icebreaker clothing offers the same range of highly fashionable and colourful designs as its synthetic and cotton counterparts, making it a popular choice for its style as well as its soft feel and superior insulation and moisture wicking properties.

Whilst sales of insulating base layers are to be expected in the winter, as warmer weather approaches sales usually start to fade; however Icebreaker clothing sales are continuing to rise at Purekit.com. The reason is that Icebreaker clothing also works perfectly well in the summer to keep the body cool, and has the design and styles to work just as well as stylish outer wear as warm underwear. With such versatility, comfort and great styles it is no surprise that UK outdoor enthusiasts are buying up stocks of Icebreaker clothing at Purekit.com in their droves, and it is unlikely that sales are likely to drop as the UK public fast catches onto the full benefits of New Zealand merino woollen clothing.
http://en.brinkwire.com/2226 Thu, 03 Mar 2011 10:52:04 GMT clothing retail e-commerce Animal Pro Team to compete against each other at the FlowHouse launch party
Animal, the freesports apparel brand is getting geared up for the launch of the first ever UK indoor FlowHouse surf centre which opens its doors to the public in June.

FlowHouse is a totally unique and custom-built facility bringing the Californian Surf Culture to the heart of England. This season sees the humble white T-shirt reworked by designers Richard Chai, Phillip Lim, Christopher Shannon, Juun J, JW Anderson and Henry Holland alongside the in-house Topman design team.

Both JW Anderson and Christopher Shannon have shown their designs with Topman previously through the MAN partnership with Fashion East which started eight seasons ago.

JW Anderson presented designs as part of MAN AW09 and is widely being hailed as one to watch. His design uses an eclectic mix of details: a long raglan sleeve finished with a shirt cuff, split shoulder button detail and a scoop back hem. The overall look is reminiscent of a traditional shirt.

Christopher Shannon has twice shown as part of MAN and is renowned for re-working sportswear. For the latest project, Shannon has designed a T-shirt using his trademark all-over print design. This design is available in two colourways; one a tonal white-on-white print and the other a black-on-white contrast print.

MAN has been the only on-schedule menswear show for a number of years and was the catalyst to this year's successful AW09 dedicated menswear day. MAN enables a handful of young designers to show their collections during London Fashion Week.

US designer, Phillip Lim, has taken his inspiration for the latest project from Asia, using origami style folded pleats to create a bib front T-shirt design, a leisurewear piece that has transpired from a tailored shirt design.

New York based designer, Richard Chai, has gained a cult following as part of the new wave of American menswear designers. Chai has kept his T-shirt design simple using asymmetrical patchwork shapes to create a simple yet effective design.

Originally from Korea Juun J made his debut in 2007 at Paris Fashion Week, now he is a regular on their schedule. Juun J has produced a poncho style oversized hooded T-shirt design to create a distinctive streetwear feel.

Henry Holland, who is famed for his tongue in cheek slogan T-shirts has this time gone for a simple approach by producing a straightforward monochromatic T-shirt with a contrast 'H' appliqué which is complimented by a square neckline.

This time Topman Design has produced two design options to meet the project brief. The first is a boxy oversized T-shirt with a non-functional oversized pocket design. The second is a double layered T-shirt composed of two varying neck lines with a tubular folded hem.

The full range of white T-shirts from the new project are being made available from the flagship Topman in Oxford Circus London and New York stores as well as online at topman.com.
