JD Sportswear brand Carbrini sponsor the UK Masters Cup 2010

JD Sports' has announced that its exclusive sportswear brand, Carbrini, is the official sponsor of the UK Masters Football Cup 2010.

The tournament kicked off on the 31st of May and Carbrini is supplying strips to all of the 38 teams participating in the tournament.

JD Sports are also running a Carbrini competition, which offers a once in a life time prize. Those that enter will not only have the opportunity to watch some of the greatest footballers ever to take to the field, but also have the chance to share the same pitch as their footballing heroes and participate in a penalty shoot out. For each regional Masters Cup, JD will be selecting three people to take part in a penalty shoot out with the winner receiving a full Carbrini kit for their team. Those keen to see any of the matches live will have a good chance in doing so as the tournament is taking place in seven different arenas across the UK.

Tranmere shall be returning to defend the title they won last year during the 2009 tournament at the Liverpool Echo Arena. They won the contest against Bolton in a tough 4-3 victory.

The 2010 Masters Cup marks the debut in the tournament of some of the most successful players in UK and international football history, including Dwight Yorke, Paulo Di Canio, Jesper Blomqvist and Andrew Cole.

JD Sports to put on exclusive N-Dubz gig for customers

JD Sports have teamed up with adidas Originals and are giving their customers the chance to attend an exclusive N-Dubz gig at the Matter nightclub, situated inside the O2 arena in London.

N-Dubz first came to prominence on the music scene in 2007 when they claimed the prestigious Best UK Newcomer award at the MOBOs. Off the back of this recognition they were vaulted to the forefront of the British music scene and went platinum in 2008 with their debut album, Uncle B. Since then they've gone on to win two more MOBO awards and firmly establish their place on the musical map.

JD has long been associated with N-Dubz, with the group often seen wearing clothing and trainers from the exclusive JD adidas Originals collection.

Tickets for the gig will only be available to JD customers and there will only be 700 pairs of tickets available for the gig, giving fans the chance to see the trio up close and personal. As well as the 700 pairs of tickets, JD will also be giving away 10 pairs of special VIP passes. These VIP passes will allow the winners the chance to go backstage and hang with Dappy, Fazer and Tulisa.

Matt Webster, the online marketing manager at JD Sports said, "Everyone here at JD loves music as much as they love trainers, and we know our customers do too. So when we began looking for a way to say thank you to our customers, putting on this exclusive gig seemed the perfect opportunity."

JD and K-Swiss join forces to announce new competition

JD Sports has announced that it has launched products from the much talked about Star Wars collection by adidas Originals.

adidas Originals joined forces with the iconic Star Wars franchise to launch this unique collection of classic adidas Originals trainers and clothing, which includes cult characters and storylines from the trio of original films blended with classic adidas Originals styles to produce a collaboration of galactic proportions that JD Sports are proud to stock.

The adidas Originals x Star Wars collection consists purely of limited edition footwear and clothing encapsulating both Light and Dark sides, Imperial Forces and the Rebel Alliance in a range that includes printed Stormtrooper tees, Darth Vader track tops and Lightsaber inspired trefoil designs. Never before has a brand captured the excitement of key memorable moments within the Star Wars universe.

One of adidas Originals’ all time classic shoes, the Superstar, gets the full Star Wars treatment and will be available in three colourways inspired by the movie. JD Sports starts shipping internationally

Leading British sports fashion retailer JD Sports has now added an international shipping option to its delivery portfolio, widening their potential customer base. Previously delivery had been restricted to the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and the Isle of Man.

JD Sports stocks exclusive brands such as McKenzie, Carbrini and Brookhaven as well as exclusive products that the retailer acquires from huge brands such as adidas Originals and Nike. All of these were previously available to those in a small area, but are now available to the global e-commerce community.

Now shipping to more than 40 destinations with competitive postage rates, JD sports can now offer their premium sports fashion goods to customers throughout the world for the first time in the retailer's 28 year history. With more and more new products exclusive to JD arriving daily, customers previously unable to access these items will now have the opportunity to do so, further strengthening JD's position in the UK and the Republic of Ireland and firmly establishing the ever-growing retailer on the global fashion map.

JD Sports has also announced shipping details for Christmas gifts.
