JOHANNESBURG – A third memorial service for national poet laureate Keorapetse Kgositsile will be held at Johannesburg’s Market Theatre on Friday.
Kgositsile was honoured by family and friends at a moving memorial at the Johannesburg City Hall on Thursday.
He died last week aged 79.
Bra Willie, as he was affectionately known, was South Africa’s first national poet laureate and a recipient of the National Order of Ikhamanga.
President Jacob Zuma has declared a special provincial funeral.
Kgositsile will be buried on Tuesday.
