Earlier this week, we discussed about a new rumour that links the 2018 Mazda Mazda6 with the application of all-wheel drive. Back then, we warned you against hoping for much and to take the report with a grain of salt.
Well, you can forget about salt entirely because the AWD claims are looking more likely to come true. It appears that NHTSA had just strengthened the possibility for the Mazda6 to rely on AWD when it listed the car with the said setup on its safety sheet.
If you are to search the 2018 Mazda6 on NHTSA, you will see that the AWD variant is there thus confirming that it is going to happen. All that is left to do now is for Mazda to make the necessary announcement.
With AWD, we can’t imagine how good the Mazda6 will perform – especially when powered by the new turbocharged engine. It’s certainly an exciting time to be a Mazda fan right now.
