Superbreak sees weekend breaks top of the romantic retreats
22 Jan 2010

Superbreak, the short break specialist, has launched more than 200 new Valentine's Day deals for 2010.

Marketing director Will Dunnett explained: "We have seen so much interest in Valentine's Day this year because it once again falls on a weekend. We have doubled the number of specially contracted Valentine's packages especially around those dinner inclusive deals at some of the top destinations in the UK."

The York based operator has more than 200 brand new Valentine's packages this year. York and Edinburgh had the most popular Valentines hotels in 2009 but the selection is more varied this year to include The Lakes, The Cotswolds and The Scottish Highlands. Demand looks high early on with Valentine's based searches up 15% on 2009.

From a night out with Eric Clapton at London's O2 Arena, a trip to see London's most romantic musical Phantom of the Opera or a break away from it all in Chester – Superbreak has created a range of packages to treat loved ones this Valentine's Day. This year, February 14th falls on a Sunday, providing the perfect excuse to make a romantic weekend of it.

Will Dunnett continued: "Valentine's Day is always a popular time of the year for short breaks. Valentines weekend breaks are the chance to make it extra special. We have secured the very best availability at hotels across the UK and tickets for special treats from a night out at London's most romantic musical, Phantom of the Opera to the chance of being serenaded by Eric Clapton."
