Thousands of punters descended on Aintree racecourse for the first day of the Grand National Festival 2018.
While temperatures at Aintree were chilly , it didn’t stop everyone pulling out all the stops and raising the bar when it comes to style.
Some even proved that wearing a coat can be trendy.
While pastel colours are always a key trend with race goers, this year we have found plenty of splashes of brighter colours.
Our reporters have been out on the course spotting the best dressed among those at Aintree today – and here are their favourites.
We’ll be updating this piece throughout the day so make sure you check back to see if you or someone you know has made the cut.
1. Charlotte Bourne

The 22-year-old from Chester attended the race meeting today with her boyfriend and was looking forward to seeing the horses run.
Her dress is from Coast, and shoes are from Roland Cartier.

We love that she has helped prove you don’t need to spend a fortune to look nice.
