KDOT: I-70 is now open at Goodland

GOODLAND, Kan. (KSNW) – I-70 is still closed at Goodland because of winter weather conditions in Colorado.

The Colorado Department of Transportation says Highway 24 is closed between Calhan and Limon because of high winds blowing snow and causing poor visibility. There is no estimated time on reopening.

Colorado fire officials with the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control planned to launch one of their airplanes, a MMA328, to northeastern Colorado to help find stranded motorists. Deputy Baldwin with the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office shot a quick video urging people there to stay home and off the roads. Conditions were intense in his video.
