Britain’s Got Talent viewers get emotional seeing Ant and Dec BOTH on screen together

Many viewers tuning in to watch Britain’s Got Talent tonight admitted getting emotional after seeing Ant and Dec BOTH on screen together.

Ant McPartlin has stepped down from his TV commitments and is in rehab, after he was charged with drink driving.

As a result, Declan Donnelly went solo for the last two episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway – including the live final from Orlando, Florida, with millions of people tuning in and praising his performance.

And it has already emerged that Britain’s Got Talent is set to be presented by Declan Donnelly alone.

Ant and Dec were on screen together for Britain's Got Talent tonight

But, because of the way Britain’s Got Talent has been filmed, Ant is appearing in the pre-recorded audition shows, which returned to our screens tonight.

For the live shows, Dec will present alone – without his TV best friend.

But some viewers of BGT became emotional watching Ant and Dec both back on screen for the ITV show this evening.

They were particularly moved – and soon took to Twitter – after their support for magician Marc Spelmann, who opened up about his wife’s struggle with IVF and battle with cancer, while pregnant, in the middle of his performance.

“Oh god it’s emotional,” said Ant, with tears streaming down his face as he watched from the sidelines with Dec, who was also crying.

The duo were so impressed that they pressed the golden buzzer for him.

A third said: “Don’t know what has me more emotional, that last act or Ant saying to him we’ll see you in the live shows and knowing now that he won’t actually be there. Oh get well soon #AntMcPartlin #BritainsGotTalent #BGT.”

A fourth said: “It’s back and it’s emotional – it’s #BritainsGotTalent. Whether you believe in magic or not I am loving the Ant&Dec #GoldenBuzzer #BGT.”
