Mark Foehringer Dance Project’s Young Choreographers Forum is the culmination of a mentoring program for 10 dance makers ranging in age from 16 to 26. The mentorships are led by a panel of local choreography professionals, including Diane Frank of Stanford University and Kara Davis of Mills College, among others.
Over the past 12 seasons, the Young Choreographers Forum — which began in San Francisco and now offers programs in both San Francisco and San Jose — has mentored 72 youthful talents.
On Sunday, March 18, a performance showcases the work of this year’s cohort in the format of a casual studio showing. The event is pay-what-you-can, with a suggested donation of $5, and takes place at Joe Goode Annex in San Francisco.
