Hinako Seta’s “Re-kan!” will continue serialization on the publisher’s Manga Time
Following Manga Time Kirara Miracle! last October, Houbunsha announced that Manga Time Jumbo monthly four-panel manga magazine ends its 23-year publication as of its latest April 2018 issue released today on March 12. The magazine was launched in April 1995 and has published 266 issues. While most of the series in the magazine have their final chapters, Hinako Seta’s Re-kan!, which had its TV anime adaptation and stage play adaptaion in 2015, is set to move to the publisher’s Manga Time to continue its serialization.
In addition, the next May 2018 issue of the publisher’s another monthly four-panel magazine Manga Time Family is confirmed to be its last issue. The magazine started its publication in August 1984 and the next issue to be released on March 17 will be its 412th.
Houbunsha provides no specific reason for discontinuation of both magazines in the official statement.
The publisher’s remaining four-panel magazines are: Manga Time, Manga Time Original, Manga Home,
Manga Time Special, Manga Time Kirara, Manga Time Kirara Max, and Manga Time Kirara Carat.
