A SOUTHPORT mansion that was listed for a record-setting price has had its price tag slashed by almost $2 million.
The Winchester Street property hit the market at $11.5 million in December, 2017, offering buyers with millions to spend the first chance to enter the exclusive strip of 12 riverfront homes since 2013.
It has now been listed for $9.950 million.
The European-inspired property has been owned by property entrepreneur Bea Jeanes for almost four decades and features a bespoke grand staircase, gourmet kitchen, terraces, pool and tennis court with northeast river and skyline views.
It underwent a million-dollar makeover in 2009 to reflect its blue-chip position.
“My favourite room is the kitchen, I extended it and doubled it in size,” Ms Jeanes told the Gold Coast Bulletin when the property was listed.
“I look out over an almost 360-degree water view. I love to entertain.”
The last property sale on the river strip was almost $10 million in 2013, when a house which at one point wore a $20 million price tag, sold at the hands of receivers.
