90 big spenders will get entrance to a magical anniversary party
Never let anyone tell you there’s no reason to drop a thousand dollars on Sailor Moon merchandise. For one thing, you don’t need that kind of negativity in your life. For another, there actually is a good reason now — and it’s called Crystal Night.
ISETAN Shinjuku is teaming up with the Sailor Moon 25th Anniversary Project to open a pop-up shop featuring high-end clothes and accessories based on the beloved series. New clothing and accessories with a “Moonlight Party” motif will go on sale at the pop-up starting March 14.
The first 90 customers who spend at least 100,000 yen (yes, as in $937) will receive an invitation to “Crystal Night,” an exclusive party held at the shop. “Dress code” will be official Sailor Moon merchandise, though it can be of any era — so fans are encouraged to mix and match classic and new favorites.
Violinist Mariko Terashita will be in attendance, as well as TSUKEMEN pianist SUGURU. Terashita performed in the Sailor Moon 25th anniversary classic concert, and by the sound of it, guests will be able to enjoy a new performance at the party from both musicians.
The party will also feature a dress-up booth, where partygoers can have their hair and make-up done professionally to get in the full Moon Princess mood.
Crystal Night will be held March 16 at ISETAN Shinjuku.
