It is no secret that Ford is currently developing the next-gen Mustang GT500 and the vehicle is expected to arrive this year. The only question left to be answered is when?
Just last year, rumours were loud in claiming that the next Mustang GT500 will make its official public debut in Q1 this year but that didn’t happen at all. The missing GT500 bred new rumours that are claiming the car to make its debut in October this year.
While rumours should be taken with a grain of salt, the October 2018 claims are now looking likely to come true. Official reports have surfaced online earlier today revealing that the Detroit Auto Show organizers are in the final stages of discussion to move the motor show date from January to October.
Once the date change is confirmed, we will witness the second Detroit Auto Show happening this year and it will coincide with the October debut claims involving the next-gen GT500.
Of course, things are cloudy at the moment and there is no certainty on the above happening. What we can be sure of is that the next Mustang GT500 will be equipped with a V8 engine like how it was confirmed by Ford.
