Escapade announce extended opening hours for Halloween
27 Oct 2010

Escapade has announced that it will be opening some of its stores for longer this Halloween season so that customers have more time to shop for their costumes.

With queues forming earlier than ever before outside of the Camden Superstore and online sales reaching record highs Escapade fancy dress is predicting that Halloween 2010 will be the biggest celebration of the holiday since the turn of the millennium.

Escapade has extended the opening times of its Camden Superstore by two hours every day with the Camden Fancy Dress Superstore now open between 10:00 am and 9:00 pm Monday to Saturday and between 10:00am and 5:00pm on Sundays.

Due to an increasing amount of customer queries and phone orders over the seasonal period Escapade has also extended the opening times of its online sales department, which will now also be open on the weekends for the first time in their 28 year history. The online sales department will be open between:

8:30 am and 9:00 pm Monday to Friday.
10:00 am and 7:00pm on a Saturday.
10:00am and 5:00pm on a Sunday.

Escapade director Bhupendra Maisuria said: "We make sure that customer satisfaction is our top priority and in order to cope with the excess demand of this exciting Halloween season we have substantially extended our opening times to ensure that all of our customers are taken care of."

In order to deal with the increasing amount of customers Escapade is encouraging those who still need to pick up their fancy dress costumes for Halloween to arrive earlier in the morning to avoid the seasonal rush.

Escapade can also reveal the costumes that customers are most likely to see for Halloween 2010. Seasonal favourites such as vampires, skeletons, devils and scary clowns are selling strongly alongside iconic horror film characters. Sales figures are indicating that the most popular costume of the season thus far is the Mad Hatter costume, or variations of it from Alice in Wonderland. However, the real surprise of the season is that comedy related costumes continue to sell better than they have in previous years leading Escapade staff to believe that this will be one of the funniest Halloween seasons in recent memory.
