Rain extending from southwest to all parts this afternoon, becoming persistent and heavy this evening. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Saturday night:
Rain and snow soon moving away from Antrim and Co Down, followed by drier, clearer, colder weather. Scattered wintry showers later. A cold night with a risk of icy stretches. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Bright spells and wintry showers, most frequent in northwest. Snow on higher ground and also to lower levels as heavier showers pass by. Feeling bitterly cold with strong westerly winds. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Sunny spells and a few showers on Monday, then wet, windy on Monday night. Drier, brighter weather following for Tuesday with lighter winds. Wet, windy weather returning on Wednesday.
