NI to be ‘one of hardest hit regions’ after Brexit

A government report on the impact of Brexit has predicted that Northern Ireland will be one of the hardest hit regions in the UK when it comes to economic growth.

According to the report, securing the free trade deal being sought by government would mean an 8% hit, while failure to reach a free trade deal would mean a 12% decrease in growth.

Those figures compare with the 2.5% decrease that is predicted if the UK stays in the single market.
