The Rezidor restaurant - Le Pressoir d'Argent in the Regent Grand Hotel in Bourdeaux, has been announced as the third Rezidor restaurant that can adorn itself with a Michelin star. This follows the Rezidor owned Sea Grill in Brussels and Fischers Fritz in Berlin which have also received their own Michelin stars.
Chef Pascal Nibaudeau has previously been apprenticed to Yves Mattagne, chef at the Sea Grill in the Royal Windsor Hotel in Brussels, a restaurant that is honored with the two Michelin stars.
"This is a great honor", said chef Pascal Nibaudeau, "It is thanks to the employees' commitment, motivation and the pursuit of perfection that we have come to where we are today. It has been a great challenge to build a fish restaurant in a district that is famous for its red wine. I want to thank each of my team, and of course Yves Mattagne, my mentor, for everything he taught me."
Le Pressoir d'Argent has a varied menu which includes many exclusive specialties, but always providing the very best from the sea to provide a gastronomic experience where each dish is well thought out down to the smallest detail.
A central feature of the restaurant is the exclusive lobster press, which is one of only five lobsters presses in the world (two of them are at the other Rezidor Michelin-awarded restaurants and the other two in restaurants in Paris).
Le Pressoir d'Argent is located on the second floor of The Regent Grand Hotel Bordeaux. The restaurant has an elegant atmosphere of the sea with photographs in black and white of fish and shellfish arrangements, along with a nautical style compass design incorporated into the floor.
